Our midwives are focused on you and your wishes to personalize your birth experience, supporting you in trusting your body and your body's abilities to carry you both through labor and birth. We offer a warm, home-like, family-centered environment at the Midwifery Birth & Wellness Center for people deemed to have a low-risk pregnancy. Here you'll find:

  • Private suites for labor, birth, postpartum, and family bonding.
  • Features to make labor and birth more comfortable for you, including birthing tubs, walk-in showers, labor balls, and OmGyms.
  • Family-friendly kitchen, lounge, and sibling play space.
  • Onsite Virtua Midwifery practice for prenatal care, screening, postpartum support, breastfeeding support, and more.
  • Option for CenteringPregnancy, a group model for prenatal care, which has been shown to empower birthing parents and improve health outcomes.
  • Access to specialized services for postpartum depression and other mental health conditions during and after pregnancy.

The Midwifery Birth & Wellness Center in Voorhees is the only freestanding birth center in South Jersey and a destination for women's health and wellness. The center is also home to Virtua Midwifery, which offers gynecologic and prenatal care appointments, as well as intimate, family-friendly birthing suites that support natural, physiologic births. We also provide care at Virtua Midwifery in Sicklerville.

Accredited by the Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers (CABC), our freestanding birth center has been recognized for providing safe, high-quality, evidence-based care.
